Each year, I truly believe I’ve gotten better for good—that I can finally see the other side, where the grass is greener. The days feel brighter, and the tears come less often. But then, without warning, the black hole returns and pulls me back in.

Hello, I’m Caidynce Goins — the voice behind "Keep Goins."
I started this blog to raise awareness about mental health through my personal experiences. Over the past few years, mental health has gained more recognition, but it’s still too often stigmatized as a weakness or something to be ashamed of.
Sharing my stories and perspectives on my platforms has helped me reflect, heal, and feel empowered. It’s also given me the drive to advocate for change — starting with understanding.
I’m currently 20 years old and have been living with mental illness—specifically depression and anxiety—since I was about 13.
It’s been a long road filled with trial and error:
Medications that didn’t always work
Therapy sessions that left me with more questions than answers
Moments of intense anxiety that made me physically sick and constantly paranoid
Dark episodes of depression that led to suicidal ideation
I’ve felt lonely, hopeless, empty, and lost. These aren’t just words — they’re painful realities that so many of us silently face.
But through all of it, I’ve come to realize:
My illness does not define me.
My illness is not my fault.
I have the power to try — and I will do better.
I have a voice — and I will use it.
This blog is more than a journal — it’s a mission. I’m here to share, reflect, and connect with others who might be going through something similar. Together, we can break the stigma, raise awareness, and promote healing — one story at a time.
So here I am, doing just that.
Let’s grow together in understanding, healing, and empowerment — because Mental Health Matters.
